Shopify Development Agency | BAW Creative
We design, build and grow Shopify stores.
For D2C brands doing £500K to £1.5M that have outgrown their store.
What every store launches with
Results vary from store to store. These don't. Every store we build goes live with all four in place.
Of old URLs mapped and redirected when you move to Shopify, so your rankings come with you
Tools live from launch day: GA4, conversion tracking, Klaviyo and your ad pixels
Developers needed for everyday changes to pages, products and offers. Your team is trained before go-live
Team behind the build and the SEO, ads and email that come after it
Traffic is coming in. Too few people are buying.
Most of the time the store is the reason. It's slow, it's hard to change, and it was built for a smaller business than the one you're running now.
The store is slow and the conversion rate shows it
Changing a banner means emailing a developer and waiting
Subscriptions, bundles and loyalty all need custom code, so every new idea waits on someone else
You've outgrown the platform, but moving feels like a risk to your rankings
If the store is why people aren't buying, more ad spend just pays for more people to leave. Sometimes the fix is a new store. Sometimes it isn't, and we'll tell you.
Shopify website design your team can actually run
Designed around how your customers buy
Collections, product pages and checkout built to remove the reasons people leave. You sign off the key pages before anything is built.
Apps before custom code
We build on Shopify's own editor and proven apps wherever we can, so most updates are a few fields in the admin, not a job for a developer.
Custom where it earns its place
When the off-the-shelf option would cost you sales, we build it properly. Then we train your team before launch, so they can run the store from day one.
Moving to Shopify? We redirect every old URL, so the rankings you've earned move with you.
How we build your store
A good Shopify web development agency should leave your team able to run the store without them. That's how we build.
Step 1: Plan around how you sell
Your catalogue, your customers, the apps you rely on and what your team changes week to week. If you're migrating, we audit what's ranking now so we know exactly what has to be protected.
Step 2: Design the pages that sell
Homepage, collections, product pages and checkout, designed around how your customers buy and signed off by you before the build starts.
Step 3: Build it
A proven theme customised properly, apps chosen for where you'll be in two years, and custom code only where it earns its place.
Step 4: Move everything across
Coming from another platform? Products, customers, order history and content come with you, and every old URL gets a redirect so your rankings follow.
Step 5: Train, launch, measure
Your team is trained before go-live, so they can run the store themselves. Tracking, SEO basics and email capture are live from the first day.
A Shopify store built by people who market stores
Built with your marketing in the room
Our SEO, paid media and email specialists plan the build with us. Collection structure, tracking and Klaviyo are set up for the marketing that comes next, not bolted on after launch.
Yours to run
No developer queue and no agency lock-in. The store sits on your Shopify account, and your team is trained to change pages, products and offers before go-live.
Tested on our own stores
We run our own D2C brands. The apps, page layouts and checkout changes we recommend have been tried there first, with our money, before they go on your store.
Judged on sales, not the launch
A good-looking store that doesn't convert isn't a win. We track conversion rate, AOV and revenue per visitor from day one, so you can see what the new store is doing for sales.

Built for growth, not just launch
A better store converts more of the traffic it gets, but it still has to get the traffic. A lot of Shopify website agencies stop at launch. We build for what comes after it.

Ready to rank, tracked from day one
Collections, product pages and site structure are set up for search, and analytics and conversion tracking go live with the store. Decisions after launch run off your own numbers.

Then the same team grows it
Builds are how most of our Growth Package clients start. Once the store is live, the same team keeps improving conversion and runs your search, ads, email and content together.
Let's talk about your store
Book a 30 minute call. We'll look at your current store, what's holding sales back and whether a rebuild is the right fix. If it is, you'll get a scope and a plan with dates. If it isn't, we'll say so.
Shopify development questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most often from serious eCommerce brands.
Will we lose our Google rankings if we move to Shopify?
Not if the migration is planned properly. Rankings drop when URLs change and Google isn't told where the old pages went. Before we move anything we audit what's ranking, redirect every old URL to its new home and carry your SEO metadata across. Moving from WooCommerce works the same way. Nobody can promise rankings won't move at all, but done properly the risk is small.
What should we ask a Shopify agency before signing?
Who will actually design and build the store. If your team can update it without them. What's being built as custom code, what's an app, and why. How they'll protect your rankings if you're migrating. Who owns the store when the project ends. And what happens after launch, because that's when the store starts earning its keep.
How long does a Shopify build take?
It depends on the size of your catalogue and whether there's a migration, so we'd rather give you a real date after the first call than a guess here. We plan launches around your trading calendar, so you're not going live in your busiest month.
Can our team update the store without you?
Yes, that's the point. We build on Shopify's editor and proven apps wherever we can, and we train your team before launch. Most changes should be a few fields in the admin, not a developer's job.
Can you improve our current Shopify store instead of rebuilding it?
Often, yes. Plenty of stores don't need a new website yet, and we'll tell you if yours doesn't. We'll look at what's slowing it down first and recommend the smallest fix that solves the problem.
Do we need Shopify Plus?
Probably not yet. Plus is built for much larger stores, and most D2C brands doing up to £1.5M get what they need from Shopify's standard plans. If you're getting close to needing it, we'll tell you.
